How it works
Mifflin-St Jeor (preferred):
Men: 10×kg + 6.25×cm − 5×age + 5
Women: 10×kg + 6.25×cm − 5×age − 161
Example
30-year-old male, 70 kg, 175 cm: 10×70 + 6.25×175 − 5×30 + 5 = 1,648 kcal/day at rest.
